Green Point opening bowler Saul Anstey bowled a great initial spell of 5-3-6-2 upfront, to put Cape Town on the back foot from the very outset.
First-change seamer Keegan Crawford then struck twice in his first ten balls, to have the home side reeling at 27-5.
Storme van Rooyen provided what little resistance there was at the top of the Cape Town order, hitting two sixes in his 20.
However, ultimately Craig Jeffery was Cape Town’s chief contributor with the bat until eventually being last man out, hitting five fours in his 43 from 59 balls.
Alex Draai provided solid support for Craig Jeffery in a 58-run stand for the eighth wicket that more than doubled the score, hitting a six and two fours in his own 25-run contribution.
Green Point skipper Luke Holland triggered the end of the Cape Town innings with his off-breaks, ending the only partnership of note before wrapping up the tail in short order.
Leg-spinner Guy Sheena was the only bowler to get his full ten-over ration, picking up 2-35 as he helped wrap up the Cape Town tail.
Opening bat Neil Eksteen then quickly put the match to bed for Green Point, making short work of chasing down their paltry victory target with a dominant 64 not out from 65 balls faced.
Gareth Beavan helped add the finishing touches to Green Point’s innings, hitting an unbeaten 21 to take them home with almost 30 overs to spare.
